What Channel is Inuyasha the Final Act Dubbed Going to Be On?

Just like how the title is Will it be Cartoon Network? or on Disney XD like Naruto? Also what time. I know it's kinda pretty impossible to know but any info would help.

“Grand Archives” are an American five-piece indie band from Seattle, Washington. They are Mat Brooke (Vocals, Guitar and Harmonica), Ron Lewis (Guitar, Piano and Organ), Jeff Montano (Bass), Curtis Hall (Drums) and Thomas Wright (Guitar). Their main music genres are indie rock and folk rock. Before they were known as Grand Archives, according to Three Imaginary Girls, they called themselves Archives and Mat Brooke was a former bandmate of Carissa’s Wierd and Band of Horses.

The Grand Archives opens with the soothing and somewhat cute “Torn Blue Foam Couch”. It’s more like a pop rock track where Mat sings effortlessly accompanied by the orchestra-like music. As always, Torn Blue Foam Couch starts off by climbing up stairs and building up tempo. It ends very beautifully where by all the instruments come together, just like an orchestra performance. A down-to-earth opener!

The swaying harmonica and whistling at the beginning of “Miniature Birds” is really good. It just reminds me of my childhood. The music on this track is sunny and jovial, you’d move your head from side to side listening to Miniature Birds. Grand Archives also make an impact on this track’s chorus where Mat goes, “It didn’t take that long…” and the rest of the band just come up with the beautiful music, especially the keyboard. And at times, they join the singing with Mat. Another notable mention is the French horn and trombone used in this track, it just completes this track!

“Swan Matches” is a slow ballad that features Jen Ghetto as guest appearance. When Jen comes in, Mat and her do a duet, “And I remember how fast we ran, i remember how fast we ran, we flew over fences, we dodged all the moving cars, and the dry Arizona faces, the dry Arizona faces…” The guitar on this track is , i can feel that Grand Archives just strum and pluck the guitar according to their music instinct, totally without a music sheet. Total adult folk getaway.

“Index Moon” is another ballad that sees Mat sings passionately. The guitar by Grand Archives on this track is slow and at times draggy. When it comes to the verses, the music just get into a softer tone. When it’s the chorus, the music just comes alive in the background with Mat’s singing. If you listen carefully, you would find there’s a subtle voice in the background that goes, “Woo… Hoo…”. Index Moon is such a good track, it’s slow, but it’ll not hold you long enough till you get bored waiting for the chorus to come. Just lovely. Try it!

“George Kaminski” if i’m not mistaken, is one of the characters that appears in Japanese manga and anime Case Closed, also known as Detective Conan. This track is pure acoustic, with the guitar and harmonica playing along, Mat will just sing along. Throughout this track, it’s hard to grab the lyrics that Mat sings, i have to look at the lyrics if i were to understand the words. George Kaminski also sounds sad at times through the voice of Mat. This could be the only track that turns out to be the best if performed in an unplugged jamming session.

“A Setting Sun” can be regarded as the best track off The Grand Archives. If you look at the lyrics, it’s very smart written, “Could you be quick or be, could you be quick or be tired, the tock, the tick of it, atop the funeral pyre, we’re in the thick of it, so bite the brick of it all…” Now we all can see the flow of the lyrics, the rhyme of the words that Grand Archives use. And throughout A Setting Sun, you wouldn’t be surprised if you find yourself enjoying this song and moving your head from side to side as an act of appreciation to the music crafted by Grand Archives. Really amazing stuff here!

“Breezy No Breezy” is just pure instrumental. It sounds sort of creepy yet weird. The guitar and horn stand out the most here. Breezy No Breezy also sounds mysterious, it can be used as background music in a movie, especially in a part where a person is trying to solve a mystery or puzzle in a funny way. Just very cute.

“Sleepdriving” is driving slowly. In the chorus, there’s a repetition of the lyrics where Mat sings after the backing vocals by the rest of Grand Archives. It’s like a trailing way of singing and the effect of it is quite significant, creating an echoic wall of sound. When the break comes along, violin can be heard as Mat sings in little phrases. And as the end draws closer, the whole song got louder and the whole Grand Archives join in the fun and sing along side Mat. What this track has is the quality of a slow burner, which is like “Run” of Snow Patrol. It’ll burn you up slowly, and of course softly.

The title of “Louis Riel” is also the name of a Canadian Politician who founded the province Manitoba and was the leader of the Canadian Prairies. This track is ought to be sad, but it sounds really happy and cheerful. The organ is really pumping and gets the listener going on. When the chorus comes, Grand Archives are supposed to tell a long story, but they just go with, “Ba, da……” Sera Cahoone also appears briefly on this track. Such a happy track here!

“The Crime Window” is the crunchiest track on The Grand Archives. You can feel as if there were a group of choir singing together with Grand Archives. Along with the horn, the singing was really energetic and powerful! This is the song that can be the anthem for Grand Archives’ concert. It’ll get the crowd and their fans dancing and singing together, “Sweet jolly jammers and a dugan charge, burning down the prarie on a victory barge…” It wouldn’t be long if you realize you’re tired by the end of this song. Lovely entertaining!

“Orange Juice” is a short and sweet track. Just a nice song to perform in a warm pub or bar. It’s light and cute with the trombone playing in the background. What a sweet way to end the album, sounds like Grand Archives are closing the album on a happy note.

Stand-Out Tracks (My Picks): Torn Blue Foam Couch, Miniature Birds, Index Moon, A Setting Sun, Louis Riel, The Crime Window and Orange Juice.

My neighborhood bookstore was touting a Sherlock Holmes detective story, and I wondered why? “Babyboomers don’t read Sherlock Holmes stuff anymore,” I thought.

With some hesitation I purchased The Hound of the Baskervilles and read it over the weekend. The novelette is a detection story about a spectral hound that has terrorized the country side. It turns out that the ghostly hound wasn’t ghostly at all but real, a half-starved dog so kept by a convict.

Before long, I realized why I hadn’t read Conan Doyle in such a long time. First, Sherlock’s cruelty toward Watson is tasteless; not to say rude to the reader. But on the other hand one cannot help thinking that the ill treatment may be due to Watson’s obsequious nature. Yet arrogance and cruelty in any shape is repulsive to me.

Second, Holmes thinks of Watson as a dunce, a vehicle for the detective’s genius, and he isn’t reluctant to say it:

It may be that you are not yourself luminous, but you are a conductor of light. Some people without possessing genius have a remarkable power of stimulating it. I confess, my dear fellow, that I am very much in your debt.If the author intended for us –the audience-to hate his main character Sherlock Holmes, then he did achieve his goal, for what can be more detestable than a character that denigrates another while elevating himself in such an obvious manner.

Third, oh yes–let’s not ignore Holmes’ props: clay pipe and violin. After a while one get bored with such trivialities, and the characters inevitably becomes a cartoon.

The novel lacks substance; in that, for two thirds of the book Holmes is absent, leaving all the leg work and sleuthing to the amiable Watson. Readers are interested in Holmes’ mind, not in Watson’s, since we have been conditioned to think that Watson is an intellectual midget.

Anyway, were it not for the well balanced sentences, this detection story -a horror story, though a mild one by today’s standards- would not have merited to be revived. What I admire in Conan Doyle is his mastery of English syntax and his employment of rhetorical tools.

Alliteration:

Bronzing bracken and mottled bramble gleamed in the light of the sinking sun.

Negative reversal and alliteration:

Never in the delirious dream of a disordered brain could anything more savage, more appalling, more hellish, be conceived than that dark form and savage face which broke upon us out the wall of fog.

Concretization of the abstract:

There were pride, valor and strength in his thick brows, sensitive nostrils, and his large hazel eyes.

Notice how, in the above example, the abstract nouns ‘pride,’ ‘valor,’ and ‘strength’ are anchored in the reader’s mind by the qualified concrete nouns ‘brows’ and ‘nostrils.’

All the above techniques coupled with the lavish display of ancient family lore will continue to delight readers for many generations to come. Or, shall we say, the sins of the fathers will be visited on the sons, as it was in the story of the clan of the Baskervilles.

Ideas For Kids Themed Birthday Parties

Kids love to have a birthday party with a theme and all the decorations of their chosen character. There are many popular themes and the following list may give you a few ideas for your child’s next party.

Girls Parties

1. Dora the Explorer – This is a very popular theme for little girls. A great theme for a birthday party would be a Spanish birthday party complete with piñata. The children could have fun with a sombrero party which is played similar to musical chairs. Placing the hats on a table in a circle the children go around the table until the music (Spanish) goes off and then grab a hat.

2. Barbie – Every little girl loves Barbie. The theme of this party could be a makeover party. The birthday girl will have loads of fun as will her friends when they get to dress up like Barbie with real make-up too. All the little girls can have makeovers. Provide tiaras for them to wear as well. Of course, there are many Barbie games that can be played such as a treasure hunt for Barbie

3. Hannah Montana – The latest in the craze of girl’s role models is Hannah Montana. This would be an excellent birthday party theme for girls around the age of 8 to 10. A karaoke machine with music from Miley Cyrus is going to be a must. A make-shift stage will make a big hit and you can give prizes to the singers. Complete this with a cake in the shape of a giant CD.

4. Tinkerbelle – When it comes to fantasy, Tinkerbelle is probably number one. When planning this party make sure to purchase wings and wands for the party girls. The birthday girl can come dressed as Tinkerbelle. A tent in the back yard fixed up like a fairy castle would be a great addition to the party. This would also allow the girls room to spr

inkle fairy dust as they play. Games adapted to the fairy theme such as tag are very popular for these parties.

5. High School Musical – This type of theme for a birthday party would be for your older children such as pre-teens. You will not have to provide games as you would for younger children. The music of course should be from the movie and your decorations will want to go along with this theme. Food will be your main thing. Provide all the snacks they like such as chips and dips and finger foods. Kids this age love to snack.

Boys Parties

1. Spongebob – This can be a fun time for your little boy. With bubbles, Spongebob stickers and all the sea creatures that live in Bikini Bottom, one great way to celebrate a birthday would be to have a pool party. Play hot potato in the water with the theme song from the show using sponges for the ’potato’. Serving crabby patties from the grill and other snacks will make this birthday special.

2. Super Mario Brothers – A great party idea for young children, the main food can be pizza and chocolate coin candy can be used for party favors. The theme music from the game can be played and a contest to see who can find the most mushrooms (you can make this yourself) will be part of the fun. A Yoshi piñata is another great idea for this birthday theme.

3. Pokemon – This can be a party that your child will remember. Either a game of Pokemon trivia can be played with Pokemon cards for the prizes or a Pokemon treasure hunt can be another idea. Kids love to be up moving around and this would be a great idea for keeping them busy. Of course you need the theme items for decorations and the cake.

4. Wall-E – A scavenger hunt allowing the kids to find their way back to Earth with every item they find on their list is a great Wall-E party idea. The game of Simon says with robot voices would be another. Find enough junk for the kids to work on their own robot. This can be loads of fun for the Wall-E party.

5. Kung Fu Panda – If you know someone who is knowledgeable in the art of Kung Fu, see if they are available to come to the party and show the kids a few moves. If not, you may be able to hire someone for an hour for a nominal fee. Be inventive and think of games that could incorporate the use of chopsticks. Have a sword fight with something non-dangerous such balloons.
